In this plan, we will identify, recruit, reference and manage an entire panel of physicians providing services in a designated setting. The setting may be acute, non-acute, ambulatory or in-patient. The hospital retains political control of the group while Physician/Provider Search Associates, Inc. supplies recruitment/staffing, scheduling and management services.

In this plan, we provide an identical service to the CSP but only for a limited portion of the clinical coverage. We would be assigned a number of staff lines or specific shifts to fill on a regular basis throughout the year. We would be fully responsible for our portion of the coverage. Our physicians would be under the political control of the hospital.

Increased patient volume has created immense difficulties for New York area Emergency Departments. We have adapted our version of the Fast Track Mechanism in a unique program designed to best serve the special needs of hospitals in the area. Physician/Provider Search Associates, Inc. Fast Track is a dynamic, carefully thought-out solution aimed at expediting treatment of the Non-Urgent patient. This program is intended to decrease or eliminate backlog and walkouts while substantially reducing the overall stress on Emergency Departments resources. All staffing and management efforts we undertake are coordinated with the Director of Emergency Medicine so that hospital policies and procedures are fully met. We then locate, screen and qualify Board eligible or certified physicians best matched to your needs. These physicians are specifically qualified for fast track management of the non-Urgent patient. Once this function is staffed, we continue to schedule and manage these physicians for you, insuring the desired results. With our expertise in recruiting a superior level of physician, the Physician/Provider Search Associates, Inc. Fast Track program is both cost and time effective. Fast Track staffing is actually less expensive than expanding Emergency Departments Physician staffing for the same amount of time.

As more and more admitted patients are being housed as "boarders" in the Emergency Departments for days until in-patient beds become available, we propose to design and staff a medical unit within the current resources of the hospital to respond directly to this crisis. This TICU would, ideally, be located near the Emergency Departments but in a separately designated area where access and conditions would be strictly controlled. It would have a specifically dedicated nursing staff. Physician/Provider Search Associates, Inc. would staff the unit with attending physicians whose primary training is in Internal Medicine with a special interest in Critical Care. These physicians would be capable of managing a heterogeneous array of admitted Internal Medicine patients being boarded in the Emergency Departments until in-patient beds became available. The jurisdictional and management procedures of the TICU would be negotiated by Physician/Provider Search Associates, Inc. with the clinical Directors and the Hospital Administration. It is our view that by re-configuring available but currently under-utilized resources into the creation of the TICU, the negative consequences which Emergency Departments overcrowding has had on the hospital can quickly be held in check and significantly reduced -- all within the near term. By measurably improving in-patient flow, reversing declining staff morale and stamina, and accelerating incoming revenues, the TICU presents today's most practical and cost-effective interim solution to this pervasive problem.

Our Ancillary/Allied unit complements our desire to support our clients efforts in filling all of their non-physician personnel needs. This unit places physician assistants, certified nurse midwives and nurse practitioners in all settings. This unit also conducts nursing searches at all levels having successfully placed candidates in positions as Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Nursing, as well as in Staff RN and LPN positions. We can also assist our clients in recruiting registered dieticians and nutritionists. Physician/Provider Search Associates, Inc. is also extremely active in Emergency Medicine recruitment. We can skillfully assist you in recruiting experienced Emergency Department Administrators, P.A.'s, nurse practitioners, paramedics and Emergency Departments nurses at the Director to Staff RN level.
